The idea for the company came from firsthand experience. While leading GenAI strategy for Google's core consumer products — including Search, Ads, Commerce, and Maps — our founder, Anaïs Howland, saw a recurring problem: models that looked powerful on paper often struggled with real-world human behavior. Not because the models were broken — but because the data didn't reflect how people actually think, move, or interact with digital environments.
Capturing the full user journey — the subtle decisions, pauses, habits, and hesitations that define how people use technology — remains one of the biggest challenges in AI today. Most training datasets overlook this nuance entirely. That's the gap we're solving at Paradigm Shift AI.
Anaïs has spent her career designing systems that make sense of complexity — from managing multi-billion-dollar investment portfolios to shaping GenAI strategy and planning frameworks at Google. Paradigm Shift AI is a continuation of that work — but focused on building the human data layer that helps machines better understand us.

Meet the Team
Anaïs brings years of cross-functional experience across finance, data analytics, AI strategy and operations. Her career spans roles in both banking and high-growth tech, where she's built systems that help organizations make smarter, faster decisions at scale.
She began in capital markets, managing multi-billion-dollar mortgage-backed securities portfolios and designing performance infrastructure for Wells Fargo and Google Treasury. She built data pipelines, risk models, and automated reporting systems that streamlined analytics and surfaced insights for executive and board-level decision-making.
At Google, Anaïs later led GenAI growth strategy and market intelligence for core consumer products — including Search, Ads, Commerce, and Maps. She also spearheaded strategic planning and resourcing for a 27,000-person organization, developing cost optimization frameworks and long-range investment plans for emerging AI initiatives.
Ashwin is a systems engineer and product builder with deep expertise in operating systems, computer architecture, and distributed systems. His career spans roles at some of the world's most respected engineering organizations, including Apple and Tesla, where he worked on complex software-hardware interfaces and led initiatives across high-performance systems.
He's spent years building scalable infrastructure and solving hard technical problems — from low-level systems programming to large-scale application architecture. Before joining Paradigm Shift AI, Ashwin also founded his own software company, Codseg, where he led a team delivering custom-built software solutions for clients across industries. This venture sharpened his product instincts and deepened his appreciation for fast, iterative engineering.
Ashwin brings a pragmatic, hands-on approach to building — combining elite technical depth with a startup mindset focused on velocity, quality, and user impact.
